Nimble is a proof of concept prototype developed by Okay Dinos in collaboration with Abertay Game Lab and the Scottish Fisheries Museum.

You play as Mags, a 13 year old girl from Cellardyke (East Neuk of Fife, Scotland) as she embarks on her journey of becoming a Herring Lassie. Mags will explore 1913 historic Cellardyke Harbour in search of kist items and ingredients which allows the player to learn more about the life and activities of the Herring Lassies.

The Scottish Herring Lassies were a mobile work-force consisting of thousand of women who followed the herring fishing fleets along the coasts of Scotland and England from the mid 19th to early 20th century.

 

They would work in crews of 3, 2 gutters (gutting the herring) and 1 packer (packing the gutted herring in barrels of salt).
